Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College (NHSC) is a four-year tribal college located on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in New Town, North Dakota. Established in 1973 it was first known as the Fort Berthold Community College and was later renamed in 2004 to reflect the three tribes it serves: the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation.

NHSC offers a variety of programs including associate degrees in arts, science, and applied science, as well as certificate and vocational programs. The college also offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees through partnerships with other institutions.

Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College’s mission is to provide quality higher education to its students while preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation.

The college has a faculty and staff that is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

With a student-to-faculty ratio of 8:1, the school has a focus on small class size, personalized learning and attention from the faculty and staff.

NHSC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium.

The college has partnerships with a variety of other institutions, including Minot State University, the University of North Dakota, and Dickinson State University, to provide its students with opportunities to pursue higher education beyond NHSC.
